Hi, I’m Kate Ruge—wife, mom of two energetic boys, and proud dog-mom to two Goldendoodles. I live in Cincinnati, OH, though my roots are in Cleveland, where my love for design began. Growing up, you could always find me glued to my cube-style TV, binging endless marathons of TLC’s Trading Spaces or HGTV’s Design on a Dime. From an early age, creativity, design, and hands-on projects were my spark of inspiration.

I went on to graduate from Indiana University with a degree in Marketing and Event Management, which led me into a career in non-profit and corporate event planning across the country. What fueled me most during those years wasn’t just the logistics—it was the chance to weave creativity and design into every event I touched.

 

After becoming a mom to two beautiful boys, I shifted into being a full-time stay-at-home mom. In that season of life, I rediscovered my passion for interiors and felt called to give it the focus it truly deserved. That’s how Kate Ruge Interiors was born.

I’m a hands-on designer who thrives in the details—whether it’s pulling together finishes, sourcing the perfect furniture, or fine-tuning layouts side-by-side with clients. Communication and time management are at the core of how I work, which is why I intentionally take on only a select number of projects at a time. This ensures each client receives the unmatched attention to detail and personalized experience their project deserves.
